The Office of the Clerk of Courts is the largest division within the Court. The Office processes all documents filed with the Court, including civil and criminal cases and appeals; land disputes; traffic and other citations; warrants; peace bonds; and birth, death, and marriage certificates. Clerks process a variety of payments connected with legal matters, including transcript costs; fines levied in criminal cases and traffic citations; restitutions; monetary judgments in civil matters; and child support payments. The Office also handles inquiries from parties, attorneys, and the public about specific cases or procedures and provides courtroom interpretation and notary services.
